At the ballpark, the Tombstone faithful were treated to an intriguing
pitcher's duel. Roy Halladay(13-3) finally bested his Tampico counterpart,
Daniel Cabrera(6-7), by the score of 3 to 0.
Tombstone started with a bang, jumping out to an early lead in their half of
the first scoring one runner utilizing 3 base hits. Ichiro Suzuki laced a
base-knock. After an out was recorded, Miguel Cabrera came up and he
delivered a one-base hit. Shawn Green then doubled scoring the run. That
scoring would be all that was needed. For the game Tombstone out-hit Tampico
10 to 6.
Halladay got help from Jose Valverde who was credited with his 3rd save.
Cabrera was the loser. He allowed 3 runs and 9 hits in 7 innings.
